The Self Propelled LeadershipSM workshops I have put together for corporate and
organizational leaders are rooted in the work of many who have come before as mentors and teachers.
Self Propelled Leadership is a result of my 40 years of successes and failures as a business owner,

corporate consultant. The work- shops reflect my understanding that while people go to work
for organizations, they continue working for human beings. It is the personal bonds of mutual respect,
trust, shared values and caring for the whole person that cement the foundations of enduring relationships
and enduring organizations.
All of us who run businesses have two bottom lines. There is the financial bottom line by which we
measure our business success. And there is a personal bottom line by which we can measure our
human success. The personal bottom line is made up of the people we touch in our professional lives and the
impact, positive or negative, we have upon them. Contrary to the belief of some, these two bottom lines are
closely connected.
Ever Higher suggests that a company leader's first obligation is not to the financial bottom line but rather
to growing one's self and the people within his or her organization. The fact is, that if you are attracting,
retaining and connecting with talented, conscientious, enthusiastic people, positive bottom lines - both
personal and financial - will follow.
The Self Propelled Leadership series of three workshops takes the organization's executives and
managers through an examination of a leadership model based on personal and
profess- ional transparency, humility-based leadership, personal accountability and the
commitment to growing one's self and others.

Introduction To Self Propelled Leadership
is a full-day workshop for business and organizational leaders and managers that focuses on developing
the skills and understandings that will lead to enhanced relationships within the organization. Fast moving
and experiential, the workshop will assist managers in being people leaders as
well as company leaders.

Participants will engage in didactic learning and dyad sharing. A moderate degree of personal
transparency is required.
Leadership From The Self is a two-day workshop that is the second in the Self Propelled Leadership
series. The workshop begins with a review of Introduction To Self Propelled
Leadership. Focus then shifts to identifying personal patterns of reactive behavior, developing core personal strengths and concludes with
a review of skills-based methods for breaking out of old, unproductive behaviors.
